Who they are

Foley’s Equestrian Services recycles waste carpet off cuts from the automotive industry into equestrian surfaces, including arenas, menages and gallops. The team have been working in the recycling industry for over 20 years, and Foley’s Equestrian Surfaces has been trading since early 2020.

What they needed

They needed funding to refurbish their new premises, a former schoolhouse in Redcar, which will allow the team to increase production.

What we did

We worked with company director Keith Rutherford to collate supplier quotes and costs for the project, and complete the application forms, providing one-to-one real-time support. The result was funding of £49,214 from a Tees Valley growth fund, 55 per cent of the total investment amount of £89,480.

What will it be spent on

The funding will be spent on refurbishing an old school site in Warrenby, Redcar, into a purpose-built processing site. The extra storage space will allow the team to increase production and sales, securing new contracts and taking on five new staff members

What they say about us

“Nudl listened to our desire to expand and build our base here in Teesside, working with us to look at what we required to expand and advising us on the way forward.

“The Nudls were all very professional and friendly, with a can-do attitude, and I’ve already recommended them to other companies.

“I’d like to thank the team for all their efforts; we couldn’t have done this without them.”
