Meet Zara – the growth Nudl, who will not stop in her quest to find all your funding options…

Like Shak, my career to date has all been focused around supporting businesses; despite looking like I’m fresh out of uni, I’m in my 30s and so have years of experience behind me!

I started my career as a workforce development admin apprentice and, while I didn’t know it at the time, this was probably what set me on the path to what I do now.

Fast forward a few years, which included four years working for my mum’s company, Sue Ford Training, and I met Shak when we worked on a growth services project together.

He’s hard to miss, as his personality absolutely shines, he’s extremely creative and always thinks outside the box – which is why Nudl is such a great place to work.

My role is to find the right path for businesses and help them to grow, and I absolutely love it!

Having seen first-hand the lack of support available for businesses, I’m so pleased to have the opportunity to make a difference and be part of something great.

To be honest, most days my job doesn’t even feel like work as it’s so interesting and fun. I love meeting new people and learning about different sectors and organisations, but the best thing about it is knowing I’ve contributed to helping others secure permanent full-time employment.

When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time corralling my four pets – a dog and three cats – and my favourite place to be is on South Shields beach with Molly the labradoodle.

I’m also pretty proud of my champion-level status (in my own head, at least) at kerby – the childhood street game of throwing a ball at, you guessed it, a kerb!

But that pales into insignificance compared to the pride I get from doing my job – in all honesty, it means everything to me.

Knowing I have done all I can within my capacity to help secure funding, secure jobs and secure a future for a company is an amazing feeling.
